Early Life

Charles Parsons was born in either 1792 or 1793 in Portland, Maine (then Massachusetts).

Parson had a wife, Mary. They had two sons, Eugene born in 1835, and William, born in 1837; and two daughters, Helen, born in 1841 and Josephine born in 1845.

Parsons entered USS Constitution as an ordinary seaman on August 14, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. He was assigned to the quarterdeck division and served as the first sponger on the no. 5 carronade. He was discharged on August 7, 1815.

Battles and Engagements

Parsons was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.

Parsons lived in Lewiston, Maine in the 1850s and 1860s. His date and place of death are unknown.
