2016 Chairman’s Dinner & Awards Ceremony
The USS Constitution Museum will hold its annual Chairman’s Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Seaport Boston Hotel. During the dinner, the Museum recognizes several individuals who display some of the very characteristics USS Constitution has come to represent – dedication to community, commitment to purpose, and excellence in all endeavors. As the memory and educational voice of USS Constitution, the Museum is honored to present the legacy of our Ship of State, a legacy of service on behalf of the greater good.
The 2016 Award recipients to be honored by the Museum include:
David H. Long, Chairman and CEO of Liberty Mutual Insurance, will receive the Charles Francis Adams Award, given in honor of one of the Museum’s founders. This award is presented to a person who has given of himself or herself for the betterment of the community.
W. Jeffrey Bolster, Professor of History at the University of New Hampshire and award-winning author, will receive the Samuel Eliot Morison Award. This award, named in honor of the renowned maritime historian, is given for artful scholarship and desire to preserve our past for future generations.
