Maritime Movie Club: Muppet Treasure Island
USS Constitution Museum’s Maritime Movie Club is back! Join us for a special school vacation edition of Muppet Treasure Island on Thursday, February 24th at 1 p.m. ET. Watch the movie on your own beforehand, and then join the Museum’s public historian and education manager for a lively discussion of the movie’s themes, characters and history.

Make popcorn and watch as ship’s boy Jim Hawkins and his Muppet shipmates take sail on the Hispaniola alongside Long John Silver (Tim Curry) in search of buried treasure. All of your favorite Muppets make an appearance in this musical adventure comedy film. Rated G, it has jokes to delight both kids and adults.

Join at 1:00 PM ET for a fun and interactive reflection on the movie. Rats on ships, buried pirate treasure, and one-legged cooks are all topics for discussion with a historical perspective. And of course, you’ll answer the question: which Muppet wore the tricorn hat the best?
