In the Yard: Navy Birthday Celebrations

Join the crew of USS Constitution as they celebrate the 241st birthday of the United States Navy from October 13th – October 16th. Teaming up with members of the USS Constitution Museum, USS Cassin Young, the National Park Service, and USS Michael Monsoor (DDG-1001) to help bring this year’s birthday theme of “Tough. Bold. Ready.” to life.

Thursday, October 13th
2:00 PM Commemorative Ceremony with message and remarks delivered by Commanding Officer Robert S. Gerosa.

Friday, October 14th – Saturday, October 15th
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM  Presentations in the Navy Yard on the history and the current service of the Navy and American Sailors.

Sunday, October 16th
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM  Presentations in the Navy Yard on the history and the current service of the Navy and American Sailors.

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Presentations in the USS Constitution Museum’s theater on the birth of the Navy, the War of 1812, World War II, and current service.

 

Constitution will be open to the general public, free of charge, Thursday and Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Visitors wishing to visit the ship who are over 18 years of age will need a valid photo I.D. to board.
