Relive the story of Jack Tarr, an ordinary seaman aboard Constitution, and his struggle to decide whether to join a mutinous crew or stay loyal to Captain Bainbridge. Explore the galleries to find hidden clues to help inform your decision in this scavenger hunt.

Seabag Discovery Kits

Come discover what the Navy Yard has to offer with fun and games for all!  Pick one up for the duration of your stay and explore the sites by looking through a telescope, drawing your own figurehead, telling a story using our picture cards, and snuggling a Guerriere the Terrier stuffed animals.

Painting the Battle

Times: 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Location: Old Ironsides 1812 Discovery Center Exhibit

Add your own flare to one of the USS Constitution Museum’s most treasured set of paintings – George Ropes’ Constitution vs. Guerriere battle scene. From spotting the enemy ship to surrender, this series of paintings show the action of a naval battle. Now it’s your turn! Create your own naval battle painting or add the missing details to one of Rope’s images. After creating your own masterpiece, make sure to view the original paintings in our Forest to Frigate exhibit.
