Welcome back! The USS Constitution Museum is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our visitors. We’re sure you have questions on what to expect, so take a look at our current policies and procedures related to COVID-19 below.
Entry to the Museum
There are no advance tickets or reservations required to enter the USS Constitution Museum. Entry will be based on a first come, first served system starting April 8, 2021. Please note, due to new capacity limits, there may be a short wait to enter the Museum. The Museum has a suggested admission of $10-$15 for Adults and $5-$10 for Children. Please help us keep our doors open for all by being as generous as possible.
Contact Tracing Requirements
The state of Massachusetts requires all museums to collect a name and phone number from visitors to support potential contact tracing initiatives. This information will be collected by a Museum staff member upon entry to the USS Constitution Museum and would only be used in the instance of a public health concern.
The safety of our visitors and staff remains our top priority. With this goal in mind, all staff and visitors are required to adhere to the following policies:
Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth at all times (Ages 2+)
Stay at least 6 feet away from others
Wash or sanitize hands frequently
Please do not visit if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19
Exhibit & Experience Modifications
All exhibits will be open to explore with markers on the floor to help maintain the recommended six-feet of physical distance. While some elements have been temporarily removed, you will still find most of your favorite hands-on interactives and artifacts to enjoy.
New to the experience is one-way foot traffic throughout the Museum. The final stop in the experience is our Museum Store – the largest on the Freedom Trail!

Professional cleaners will be frequently cleaning and disinfecting high-touch points throughout the day. The Museum’s HVAC system has also been calibrated to introduce more outside air.
The USS Constitution Museum will continue to refine and adapt its protocols based on public health recommendations and Massachusetts requirements.
