Institutional Support

Preserve our maritime heritage and spark excitement for the American experience.

Designated as America’s Ship of State, USS Constitution is a beloved symbol of service and courage, supported by the local community and celebrated across the country. That support is now more critical than ever. Foundation funding and corporate partnerships enable the USS Constitution Museum to share “Old Ironsides”’ stories with students and preserve her legacy for the next generation. The committed support of community institutions helps preserve our maritime heritage and spark excitement for the American experience.

Why become a supporter
As a private non-profit organization, the Museum does not receive direct federal funding. Support from local and national foundations make it possible to keep sharing the important stories of Constitution and her community.

Impact of Support
Foundation grants support both general operating expenses and specific program initiatives. As the Museum does not charge an admissions fee, this support is essential to making “Old Ironsides” accessible to all. Whether through offering immersive education programs, funding groundbreaking historical research, or simply keeping the doors open, this support ensures that the Museum can advance its mission to engage all ages in the story of “Old Ironsides.”
