Benjamin B. Hoyt’s place and date of birth are not known.

Hoyt entered USS Constitution as an able seaman on August 12, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. He was on the larboard watch, assigned to the afterquard and served on the train tackle for the no. 13 gun. He was discharged on July 16, 1815 at Boston, Massachusetts.

Battles and Engagements

Hoyt was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant, and the capture of HMS Pictou.

Hoyt’s date and place of death are unknown.
