Charles Nutting’s place and date of birth are not known.
Nutting entered USS Constitution as an able seaman on July 10, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. He was on the larboard watch, assigned to the afterguard station. In battle, he was the third loader on gun no. 12. Nutting was demoted on February 12, 1814 to ordinary seaman. He transferred from USS Constitution on November 17, 1814.
Nutting’s date and place of death are unknown.
