Early Life

Daniel B. Twine’s place and date of birth are not known.

Twine married Mary Russell in Boston on May 4, 1813. According to a letter written to the Navy in 1831 on Mary’s behalf, she had never remarried, and had been left destitute. The results of the letter are unknown.

Twine entered USS Constitution on September 11, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. His rank was able seaman. He transferred to ex-HMS Cyane on February 21, 1815.

Battles and Engagements

Twine was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant, and was wounded in the battle.

Twine died from wounds suffered in battle on February 28, 1815.
