Daniel Taylor’s place and date of birth are not known.
Taylor entered USS Constitution as an able seaman on May 20, 1812 at Washington Navy Yard. He served as second captain of the no. 12 gun crew. He was promoted on June 24, 1813 to quartermaster and became first captain of the no. 8 gun crew. He was discharged on April 27, 1814.
Battles and Engagements
Taylor was on board for the battles with HMS Guerriere and HMS Java.
Taylor’s date and place of death are unknown.
