Edward Hillis’s place and date of birth are not known.
Hillis entered USS Constitution as an able seaman on December 31, 1813. He served a fireman, sail trimmer and was on the no. 6 gun crew. He was demoted to ordinary seaman sometime before departing USS Constitution in August, 1814.

Hillis was on board for the battle with HMS Pictou.
Hillis’s date and place of death are unknown.
