Linmore’s date and place of birth are unknown.

Linmore joined Constitution ’s crew as an ordinary seaman on August 4, 1811, having been transferred from USS Nautilus at Norfolk, Virginia. He left the ship sometime after February 17, 1813.

Battles and Engagements

During Linmore’s time on board, the ship patrolled the American coast enforcing US trade laws, and later made a diplomatic voyage to northern Europe. He participated in victories over HMS Guerriere on August 19, 1812 and HMS Java on December 29, 1812. He received $42.62 ½ and $42.30 in prize money for the two victories. During the second engagement his station was no. 11 gun on the gun deck, where he served as 2nd loader and 2nd boarder.
