Early Life

Henry B. Joslin was born in 1779 or 1782 in Albany, New York.

Joslin enlisted in the Marine Corps on December 17, 1810. His rank was private. He served on USS Syren in 1812. Joslin transferred to Charlestown Navy Yard on July 3, 1813 and entered USS Constitution on September 6, 1813. He departed USS Constitution on July 28, 1815 at Boston, Massachusetts. Joslin re-entered USS Constitution on May 13, 1821 as corporal. He departed USS Constitution on May 20, 1824.

Battles and Engagements

Joslin was on board for the battle HMS Cyane and HMS Levant, and the capture of HMS Pictou.

Joslin eventually ended up in the Philadelphia Naval Asylum in 1850 and died from adynamia on July 20, 1864.
