Early Experience
Before enlisting, Biefeld was a dyer. He enlisted as a private with the Marine Corps on September 22, 1810. He deserted from the Marines on March 6, 1811, but was retaken some time before June 1811. Biefeld was 5 feet, 5 ½ inches tall with a sallow complexion, grey eyes and brown hair.
Biefeld joined the Constitution ’s crew as a private some time before June 1811.
Biefeld was transferred to USS President on March 18, 1813. His place and date of death are unknown.
