Jacob Sargus’s place and date of birth are not known.
Sargus entered USS Constitution as an able seaman on December 8, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. He was on the larboard watch, assigned to the mizzen top, and served as third loader on the no. 8 gun. He transferred from USS Constitution on June 1, 1815.
Battles and Engagements
Sargus was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.
Sargus’s date and place of death are unknown.
