Battles and Engagements

Taylor was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.

He was suspended from duty for three months and was to be publicly reprimanded by the Commanding Naval Officer. A midshipman named Taylor drowned on March 19, 1819, but it is unclear whether it was James B. Taylor or William Taylor.
