John Harvey’s place and date of birth are not known.
Harvey enlisted on May 10, 1809. His rank was ordinary seaman. He transferred to USS Constitution from USS President on June 17, 1810 at Hampton Roads, Virginia. Harvey deserted USS Constitution on June 1, 1812 at Washington, D.C. but was returned. Harvey transferred from USS Constitution to Sackett’s Harbor on May 12, 1813, but got sick and died on the way there.
Harvey died on May 12, 1813 in Redfield, New York.
