Early Life

John Wadden was born in 1792 in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

 

Wadden entered USS Constitution on August 24, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. His rank was able seaman. He was discharged on July 16, 1815.

Battles and Engagements

Wadden was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.

Some records indicate that Wadden died on January 10, 1816 in the West Indies, but other records indicate that he was still serving as a merchant seaman on the brig Hannah in February 1824 when it left Salem, Massachusetts for Bilboa, Spain.
