Perkins entered USS Constitution on August 5, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. He was an able seaman on the larboard watch, assigned to the afterguard. Perkins was still a member of the crew when died on June 9, 1815 at the Marine Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. The cause is unknown.
