Early Life
Peter Murray was born in Ireland in about 1781. Nothing is known of his life before he enlisted in the US Navy, but he must have served at sea for some years.
Peter Murray joined Constitution ’s crew on September 3, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts as an able seaman. He was discharged to the Marine Hospital at the Navy Yard in Charlestown scarcely a month later.
Peter Murray died of consumption at the Marine Hospital in Charlestown, Massachusetts on October 14, 1813.
