Early Life

Samuel Jackson was born in 1789 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Jackson enlisted on August 30, 1811 at Lancaster. His rank was private. He transferred to Charlestown Navy Yard on September 28, 1812 at Boston, Massachusetts. Johnson entered USS Constitution on October 28, 1812. Jackson transferred to USS Chesapeake on November 16, 1812. He was wounded during the battle with HMS Shannon and returned to Charlestown Navy Yard on a cartel ship from Halifax on July 5, 1813. On September 10, 1813 he returned to USS Constitution at Boston, Massachusetts. His rank was private until being transferred on June 10, 1814 at Boston, Massachusetts. His rank was private.

Battles and Engagements

Jackson was on board for the capture of HMS Pictou.

Jackson died on July 14, 1815 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
