Sius entered USS Constitution as an able seaman from HMS Guerriere after its capture on August 19, 1812 at sea. Sius was an American sailor who had been taken by Guerriere prior to its defeat by Constitution. He was landed on August 31, 1812 at Boston, Massachusetts.
