Early Life

Thomas Phillips’s place and date of birth are not known.

Phillips entered USS Constitution on July 31, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. His rank was able seaman. On February 12, 1814, he was demoted to ordinary seaman. He was a waister on the starboard watch and was responsible for tending to shot holes in battle. Phillips was discharged on June 15, 1815.

Battles and Engagements

Phillips was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.

Phillips’s date and place of death are unknown.
