Thomas Sands’s place and date of birth are not known.

Sands entered USS Constitution as an ordinary seaman on August 10, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. He was on the larboard watch, assigned to the afterguard station. His worked the pumps, served as sail trimmer, and handled the side tackles on gun no. 9. Sands was discharged on August 7, 1815 at Boston, Massachusetts.

Battles and Engagements

Sands was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.

Sands’s date and place of death are unknown.
