William Craig’s place and date of birth are not known.
During his time on board, Craig’s pay was allotted to Rebecca Oliver, but it is unclear what her relationship to Craig was.
Craig entered USS Constitution on August 9, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. His rank was able seaman. He was on the larboard watch and stationed as the 2nd captain of the forecastle. Craig was promoted on August 1, 1814 to coxswain, but was demoted back to able seaman on August 9. It’s unclear whether this was meant to be a temporary assignment. Craig was discharged on July 31, 1815 at Boston, Massachusetts.

Craig was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.
