Early Life

William Horrell was born in 1783 in Milford, Pennsylvania.

He had a brother, John Horrell.

On his enlistment, Horrell was described as being 5′ 6.25″ tall, with dark eyes, dark hair and a dark complexion.

Horrell enlisted in the Marine Corps on June 11, 1811 at Frederickton. His rank was private. He deserted on September 6, 1811 and was returned on September 11, 1811. Horrell entered USS Constitution on December 61, 1814. He was killed in action USS Constitution on February 20, 1815.

Battles and Engagements

Horrell was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant.

Horrell was killed in action during the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant on February 20, 1815.
