William Jones’s place and date of birth are not known.

Jones entered USS Constitution on August 7, 1813 at Boston, Massachusetts. His rank was ordinary seaman. He was on the larboard watch, assigned to the fore top. He served as second sponger on the no. 14 long gun, and was a designated boarder. He was discharged on August 4, 1815.

Battles and Engagements

Jones was on board for the battle with HMS Cyane and HMS Levant, and the capture of HMS Pictou.

Jones’s date and place of death are unknown.
