Read transferred from USS President on June 17, 1810 at Hampton Roads, Virginia. His rank was landsman. He transferred to USS Hornet from USS Constitution on July 28, 1811. On July 10, 1812, he returned. Read departed USS Constitution on February 17, 1813.
