Build USS Constitution with a LEGO® Master Model Builder!
LEGO Discovery Center Boston’s Master Model Builder designed a miniature LEGO USS Constitution to teach kids how to make one for themselves!
LEGO Master Model Builder Kaleb Thome will lead you to recreate “Old Ironsides” in workshops at the Museum. The design uses common LEGO pieces and captures the ship’s famous color scheme. To add a fun interactive element for kids, Kaleb added a working cannon using a LEGO stud shooter piece, so that builders can celebrate USS Constitution by firing off a salute to celebrate the ship’s birthday weekend!
Each session is capped with 20 builds, so advanced registration is recommended.
About the Master Model Builder: Kaleb Thome is from Seattle, WA but has been in the Boston area since 2017, graduating from Northeastern University and staying after to explore the city. Though a new Master Model Builder at LEGO® Discovery Center Boston, he has had a lifelong passion for LEGO and enjoys all aspects of creativity and expression, especially through building! His favorite aspect of building is designing small models or workshops to share tips and tricks with other LEGO fans, like this model of USS Constitution!
