(Building Oceanic Artwork in Teams)
A participatory art installation that bridges both the future and the past of the Navy Yard . Local artist, Marlon Forrester, created these interpretations of Crane 65 using recycled copper nails, tape, pine tar and hemp rope. The crane represented currently sits behind the USS Constitution Museum. It is one of the last survivors of a fleet of thirteen cranes that once towered over the Navy Yard to assist in ship building and maintenance.
