THE HONORABLE CARLOS DEL TORO

78th United States Secretary of the Navy

Recipient of the Charles Francis Adams Award

Carlos Del Toro is the 78th Secretary of the Navy and Marine Corps, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and career naval officer who led the Department through its largest modernization in half a century. A Cuban-born refugee and former White House Fellow, he also founded SBG Technology Solutions after retiring from 22 years of active-duty service. His leadership has been marked by a deep commitment to innovation, strategic partnerships, and care for Sailors and Marines.

Recipient of the “Old Ironsides” Exemplary Service Award

Bruce Blessington is a veteran Navy submariner, accomplished CEO, and long-serving Vice Chairman of the USS Constitution Museum Board. With leadership roles across defense, healthcare, and manufacturing, he brings deep strategic insight to every endeavor. For over 14 years, Bruce has played a pivotal role in guiding the Museum’s governance and long-term planning. We are proud to honor him at the 2025 Salute to Service Gala for his extraordinary leadership and enduring commitment to service.
