Celebrate Harborfest at USS Constitution Museum! 

Join us during Harborfest as we celebrate with activities through out the week and weekend, July 2-6!  Step into history with hands-on activities throughout the week:

  • Fire an Alka-Seltzer cannon and imagine life as a courageous crew member aboard Constitution!

  • Play a round of Navy 250–themed minigolf and test your naval knowledge and putting skills.

July 4th Highlight:

Welcome USS Constitution back to the Navy Yard after its historic Independence Day cruise through Boston Harbor. Enjoy a day of family-friendly fun, exploration, and celebration at the Museum.

“Ready, Aim, Fire!” Gallery Program

Dates: July 2 – July 6

Time:  11:00 am- 3:00 pm

Step into the role of the courageous crew who manned USS Constitution‘s cannons.  Work as a team and fire your own mini Alka-Seltzer cannon in celebration of America’s 249th birthday!

US Navy 250th Mini-Golf

Dates: July 2 – July 6

Time:  10:00 am- 4:30 pm

Step into our minigolf course and explore naval history with every swing. Each of the 9 holes features fun facts that bring the story of the United States Navy to life.

Marked for Life Gallery Program

Dates: July 2- July 6

Time:  11:00 am- 3:00 pm

Learn the history and traditions of sailors’ tattoos and mark yourself with a temporary tattoo. Proceeds help support the Museum’s educational programs.

USS Constitution Underway

Dates: July 4th

Time:  10:00 am- 2:00 pm

Observe “Old Ironsides” set out on her annual July 4th Underway as she departs Charlestown Navy Yard for Castle Island starting at around 10:00 am.

After enjoying the Museum exhibits and programs, help welcome her back as she returns to the Charlestown Navy Yard around 1:00 pm.  The Ship will re-open for public tours from 3:00 pm- 6:00 pm.
