Watch the Harbor Become a Canvas
During Sail Boston®, the Historic Charlestown Navy Yard becomes an open-air studio, where the canvas of the Tall Ships meets the canvas of working artists.
At Plein Air 250, artists from the Copley Society of Art (Co|So) will paint the Tall Ships, harbor, and waterfront live as the morning unfolds. Visitors are invited to explore the Navy Yard, take in the visiting ships, meet the artists, and watch new works of art come to life in real time.
Presented by the USS Constitution Museum and the Copley Society of Art during Sail Boston.

About Copley Society of Art (Co|S0)
Founded in 1879, the Copley Society of Art (Co|So) is the oldest nonprofit arts association in the United States. Originating from the first graduating class of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the organization began as a way for young artists to remain connected and continue their creative growth.
Today, Co|So is home to 300 juried artist members, presenting approximately 20 exhibitions annually and fostering an inclusive, intergenerational arts community. Through its exhibitions, residencies, and programs, the Copley Society of Art continues to support creative expression and connect audiences with outstanding artistic talent.
