USS Constitution Museum Winner of Two Awards in Boston Parents Paper
CHARLESTOWN, MA (July 28, 2022)—The USS Constitution Museum is the winner in the “Historic Sites & Tours” and “Museums & Attractions” categories for Boston Parents’ Family Favorites.
It is the fifth year in a row that the Museum has received the “Historic Sites & Tours” award from the readers of Boston Parents Paper.
All winners will be featured in Boston Parents Paper’s August 2022 issue.
Boston Parents’ Family Favorites gives readers in Greater Boston and throughout the Northeast a chance to voice their opinions on their personal family favorites in 100 categories. Voting is conducted in a two-round process: the first round gathers open write-in nominations and the second round asks voters to select their favorite from the top nominees in each category.

The USS Constitution Museum recently launched an exciting new LEGO Shipyard exhibit. It features a six-foot LEGO model of “Old Ironsides” and challenge build activities for families, including building a boat and trying to make it sail in a water tank.
The Museum’s many family-friendly exhibits also include All Hands On Deck. Visitors are invited to learn not just by reading, but by doing. They scrub the decks, scramble aloft to furl a sail, eat a meal of salted meat and ship’s biscuit, crawl into a hammock, and meet their fellow crew–both young and old–who lived aboard “Old Ironsides” during the War of 1812.
