Isaac Hull’s Pocket Watch

This gold pocket watch, made by Richard Sheldon in London, England in 1808, belonged to Captain Isaac Hull. A pocket watch, as the name suggests, was meant to be carried in one’s pocket and were usually attached to a short chain. The watch is inscribed on the inside: “Isaac Hull, U.S.N.”
